Classes
With Pilates, GYROTONIC, Dance, and Yoga your body, mind, and sprit work together. This provides strength, health, and balance in your life. Pilates, GYROTONIC, Yoga and Dance strengthen, stretch and tone the physical body, while sub sequentially healing the mind. While you look strong and slender, you also have more energy and feel more focused in your daily life. These types of exercise are weight bearing, yet non-impact. Therefore, they are gentle on the joints and help improve chronic back and neck pain.
Pilates:
The Pilates Method of Exercise focuses on strengthening the Core Muscles (your abdominals) so that the middle of your body can support and strengthen the rest of your body. Pilates can be used as a form of rehabilitation for your spine and joints. Further more, it may also be an extremely intense exercise program. It focuses on strengthening muscles around your joints in order to provide optimum strength and slender appearance. Everyone works at a different pace in all of Meghan’s classes!! Your level depends on your personal needs, age and intentions as a Pilates student. At the CAE Meghan Campbell will work at a level that is appropriate for you, and will help you to obtain your goals.
GYROTONIC:
GYROTONIC is fairly new to mainstream exercise, however it has been around for a long time. I like to describe GYROTONIC as the best stretch you have ever had! It works at the level of the skeletal system to re-align bones within the joint, and it has been very effective in spinal, shoulder, hip, knee, and neck rehabilitation. Meghan accesses acupressure points while your are moving in order to energetically align the body. GYROTONIC will tone the body, help you to become more balanced and coordinated, and is a really good abdominal workout. It applies many Pilates and yoga concepts, as well as incorporation of martial arts and dance.
Yoga:
The word yoga means “union” of the body, mind, and soul. Yoga strengthens, stretches, tones, and relaxes the body. It alleviates stress, and freshens the mind.
Dance:
Dancing improves coordination, teaches muscle memory, and is a great fun workout!! Personalized instruction in can improve you confidence and your technique.
